Pride in Preserving a Part of America’s History

The Club’s building was originally constructed in 1796 and was used as a tavern for well over one hundred years. After it was refurbished in 1959, it was registered as a national landmark. Our mission is to preserve one of the few federal period buildings in Washington, DC.

Association with a Diverse and Accomplished Group

Members have included Cabinet Members, Supreme Court Justices, and Ambassadors. The Club is a great place to meet other people in the area or escape to a quiet haven in bustling Georgetown.
