City Tavern Preservation Foundation
To better enable preservation and restoration efforts for the building, the City Tavern Preservation Foundation was formed
The Foundation is a 501 (C)(3) established for the preservation of the City Tavern Club’s historic facility
All donations are tax deductible

Mission Statement:
To preserve and memorialize the history and architecture of the District of Columbia with particular reference to the City Tavern Club and the Georgetown area; to research, restore, and ensure the preservation of buildings, land, homes, or other articles which may relate to the history and architecture of the district of Columbia with Particular reference to the City Tavern Club and the Georgetown area; to hold meetings and other activities for instructions and information on the various purposes enumerated in this article; to accept donations of money, real property, or other property for the above purposes; and to do any lawful act consistent with the purposes herein stated.
Preservation Foundation Board
Hendrik Browne, President
Member 1975, Foundation Board 2016. Mr. Browne served in the US Navy, 22 years, both active duty and reserve. He is a 47-year resident of the Washington, DC area and married to a descendant of the founders of Alexandria, VA. His background is in construction as a Quality Control manager for the construction of 1152 housing units, Naval Reserve Training Center at the Bolling/Anacostia joint base, and 3 dormitories at Marine Training Center Cherry Point. Mr. Browne is also responsible for the renovation of 50 homes in the Mt. Pleasant and Capitol Hill neighborhoods of Washington, DC.
